Peace be upon you. Yes YOU...the one behind the screen *finger points directly towards you*  I hope you are keeping well and enjoying this summer weather : )

Anyway...let's get to the point shall we. Ok, I'm assuming that you watch the news, read the newspaper or perhaps even listen to the news on the radio. If you do keep up to date with current world affairs, you are probably aware of the plight of the place known as Palestine, otherwise known as Gaza or Philistine. It's pretty awful what's happening there. 'Awful' is not even an acceptable word to use to describe the atrocities taking place there. It's, it's, it's.....see I don't even have words to describe it. 

In short it could be described as 'HELL on Earth'.

So.....you're probably thinking why are you reading this anyway. Just give me 60 seconds of your time and I will explain. 

Ok, I want you to just close your eyes for a few seconds and picture your parents in your mind, from the very first memory you have of them to the very last conversation you had with them or the last time you saw them.

CLOSE YOUR EYES THEN!!!!!!!!!

Now, I want you to close them again and I want you to picture not having your parents. No parents at all!!! No parents teaching you to walk, no parents helping you ride your first bike, no parents nagging you to wake up in the morning, no parents to cook for you or do your washing for you, no parents to kiss goodnight, no embarrassing parents to go to your parents evening. JUST NO PARENTS. I want you to imagine a life like this now. Just 10 seconds. 

CLOSE YOUR EYES PLEASE. (I promise it's the last time)

Now how do you feel? 

Well I know how I feel and that's sad. It's sad that we take them for granted and we do not appreciate them,, because they are the ones who make our world run even though we may not know it. They're our shadow and I mean literally, a pestering shadow at times :P But the truth is, deep down we know we love them SOOOOOOOO much and that we won't be able to live without them right? 

So now, what if I told you that there are children in the world  who are being orphaned every minute. Even whilst you read this, there is a child out there who is crying for their mother, who is no longer there. The mother, the only person who can ever give us comfort. True comfort. In Gaza, the children have bombs for their daily alarm bell, no one to help dress them in the morning, no one to give them yummy breakfasts or no one to make them a packed lunch.

 Those children are crying. But how much more can they cry? Until all their tears dry? Those children are helpless. 

This is where YOU come in. What if there was something you could do to help? What if you could put a smile on that child's face. What if you could make a difference in this child's life. Well you can! 

I'm fundraising money towards orphans in Palestine and also to support Islamic education in the UK, by doing a sponsored sky dive and I need YOUR help to raise the money. Just imagine that innocent, cute face....a tear rolling down their cheek, each drop crying out to you for help. What if that was a child you dearly loved or what if it was you?

I URGE YOU TO PLEASE REACH INTO YOUR HEARTS AND YOUR POCKETS AND DONATE MONEY TO THESE ORPHANS IN PALESTINE.

Have a heart and just give as you would your own.
