I was touched by the care and attention shown to our dear friend Richard in his last days by the Neuro unit at Southampton General Hospital and wanted to do something to help those people who may find themselves in a similar situation.  To be able to do it in Richard's memory seems very fitting.  Training for this bike ride has been a huge personal challenge and I have enjoyed it but am also slightly nervous (to say the least) of completing this ride.   Your financial support towards this worthwhile cause will help to spur me on.
