For the fifth year running, PageGroup employees will take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge for charity. This is personally my third year sharing a dormitory, sleeping in a bunk bed, getting up at 5:00 in the morning, showering under the trickle from a tap before forcing my delicate middle aged ( blister averse) feet to treck for more than 9 hours over Yorkshire's three highest peaks. That's gotta be worth sponsoring ......... if not read on......

This year the event takes place on Saturday 14th June. Our team will endure a tough 25 mile hike across Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, the three largest peaks in the Yorkshire Dales. Apparently "It’s a tough challenge which involves lots of training to get them round in one piece"!

This year we’re raising money for Alzheimer’s Research UK. There are currently 820,000 people living with Dementia in the UK. By 2040 this figure will grow to 1,500,000. There is currently no cure and little funding. The money raised from this event will go towards funding two vital research scholarships in the quest to find a cure and help bring hope to thousands of families across the UK who are profoundly affected by dementia.

Each participant must raise a minimum of £300. We are aiming to raise £30,000 in one weekend. Excellent effort from everyone involved!
