Story
Assalaam u alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatahu,
Welcome to my donations page. I was inspired to take up this challenge because it combined two of the most important yet sometimes neglected aspects of Islam - giving in charity and maintaining a healthy body. The Prophet SAW was the best in both these attributes and it is only right that from a personal perspective I make whatever effort I can to emulate this Sunnah.
At 3,560ft above sea level, Mount Snowdon is the largest peak in England and Wales, and I know that climbing this mountain would be a fantastic lifetime achievement. More importantly, all of us together would be raising funds for needy children and the scholars of the future, and there can surely be no greater motivating factor.
- Islamic Help orphan sponsorship: We all know the terrible difficulties which our brothers and sisters in Palestine undergo every single day. Many young children are left orphaned as a result, and we cannot begin to imagine the difficulty of their circumstances. This is our opportunity to donate in charity and also help orphans, once again combining two acts with incredible rewards in this world and the Hereafter.
- Khalil Foundation: In the short time I have been a student at Ebrahim College, I have quickly recognised the critical role Islamic education plays in benefiting our entire Ummah. The Khalil Foundation is dedicated to helping develop the next generation of scholars and people of knowledge through funding courses for all students of knowledge. This is charity as sadaqah jariyah with continuous benefits and rewards - perhaps the pound you donate could make the difference between a future alim being able to afford to study or not?

I am blessed that almost as soon as I began attending Ebrahim College, this opportunity became available - surely this is a witness to the many and varied benefits of acquiring knowledge of Islam. Similarly, every penny that you donate to this cause will yield benefits the likes of which we cannot even imagine. So I urge you all to donate as much or as little as you can afford, and Allah (SWT) will reward you, as narrated in the following beautiful Hadith from Riyad-us-Saliheen:
Abu Huraira (RA) reported: The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, "He who gives in charity the value of a date which he legally earned, and Allah accepts only that which is pure, Allah accepts it with His Right Hand and fosters it for him, as one of you fosters his mare, until it becomes like a mountain." [Bukhari/Muslim]
Jazak'Allah Khair,
Faizan
