This year we are running the Major Series South 10k in aid of The British Lung Foundation. The team this year is:

Joe Bush, Greg Horsley, Sam Bottrill and Neil Fullbrook. 

Here's why we are fund raising for BLF.

Earlier this year Neil's mum died rather suddenly of a lung related illness. 

She was his closest friend and were both there for each other to solve life's little issues (and the odd crossword question). He misses her beyond belief and her death has left a huge hole in his life.  

Neil says: "The journey to me being there when she took her last breath made me realise just how important life is and just how difficult it is for thousands of people that suffer from a lung disease. It's a very personal illness and I can't begin to imagine the discomfort and how frightening fighting for your breath really is. So, prompted by a dear friend, I decided to suggest to my editor friends to raise money for BLF. While the BLF had no direct involvement with my mum. They make such a huge difference to so many people and advance scientific research which will hopefully save, if not extend the lives of others in the years to come. I know this won't bring my mum back, but hopefully the small dent that my friends and I can make to helping others will lift our hearts if only for a short while, knowing that we have gone some way to relieving the burden from another family".
