Story
On 13 November 2014, I will be joining 34 others who work for UK housing associations and heading to Nepal with the UK based charity Homeless International.
The first half of our trip will be spent working on local community projects in Pokhara, helping to build homes for some of Nepal’s most disadvantaged families. After several days on the project, we will then set off on a four-day trek through the Annapurna region, where we will be spending up to 8 hours a day trekking to altitudes of 2,500m.
The cost of the trip has been paid for through a memorial fund at the Regenda Group and all money raised will go straight to Homeless International, to help improve the lives of slum dwellers in Asia and Africa, by providing them with access to housing, land, healthcare, education, water and electricity.
