Story
Hi, I'm a member of the Sheffield University Fundraising For 'Earing Research team (SUFFER) cycling Deloitte Ride Across Britain
see http://www.sheffield.ac.uk/alumni/support/ride-across-britain.
From Saturday 6th to Sunday 14th September as a member of the University team I rode the length of Britain from Land’s End to John O’Groats over 9 days, camping at night. For photos and report of the event see the blog at:

Hearing loss is a rotten condition that affects so many people. Every penny donated goes to the research. For example, 1p/mile would be £10; multiples are allowed! Research has given some amazing advances over the past 20 years: development of cochlear implants, screening for newborn children and improved hearing aids. Today the UK is leading advances in understanding the genetics of hearing loss.
The University of Sheffield has an internationally recognised research theme into the causes and solutions for hearing loss. In order to make the maximum impact of the funding raised through the Ride Across Britain Professor Matthew Holley, who has undertaken innovative public awareness events nationally, has designed an exciting programme to stimulate a multidisciplinary research and to empower and equip undergraduate students to become helpers and ambassadors for the cause. Every penny of your donation goes directly to this innovative programme.
Don't forget to tick the Gift Aid box if you are a UK taxpayer. It helps the University claim an extra 25% on top of your donation.
Donating through Just Giving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the University. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the University.
