In August 2015, two other students and I have grouped together to climb Mt Edith Cavell. We are doing this in order to raise money and awareness for the Cavell Nurses' Trust, which was formed shortly after the Daily Mirror and Daily Telegraph publicized  the efforts of Edith Cavell to raise funds for nurses mentally and physically shattered by the war.

Edith Cavell was one of the many nurses, that served in World War One. Cavell is known for her remarkable efforts in saving soldiers form both sides during the War. Unfortunately Cavell was charged with treason, by the German army, after securing some 200 allied soldiers safety and allowing them to cross the borders into France. Edith Cavell was selfless in her actions and is among the many heroes who put their life on the line for others.

The Edith Cavell Trust is dedicated to the protection and aid of in-work and retired nurses, midwifes and healthcare assistants, as well as students in medical training. The Trust has been giving financial assistance to over 650,000 registered medical staff.

The Cavell 100 Experience is a fundraiser opportunity for 100 people to climb Mt Edith Cavell in order to spread their generosity among the medical staff who have fallen on hard times. This means that if you are kind enough to sponsor us on our journey you will be contributing to the aid of midwifes, nurses and healthcare assistants in need.

As for the three of us, we are currently doing our A-levels at Hartpury College. We were interested in joining the Cavell 100 because we believe that it will be a great experience and we feel strongly about the cause. We will be fundraising as much as possible over the next year in between our studies and other commitments to ensure we reach our goal.
