Last year I was asked to make some awards for the people taking part in this event. Everything went well, and the awards were well deserved and well received. This year Tony Bray, the organiser and a swimmer, Asked me to make the awards again, and swim. How could I say no!? the second I said yes my thoughts were " IDIOT!!!!!!!"  I love being in the sea but the idea of swimming continuously for two hours through heavy currents and busy shipping lanes doesn't float my boat! 

Shortly after Tony's swim last year he put on a fundraising evening with a viewing of a documentary about a man, with MND, he was close to my age with a wife and new baby, it follows him and his family through their ordeal. It was a nice film, had allot of laughs considering in the end so sad. It cemented my commitment to this event. I want to raise as much as possible so please please sponsor me and I will swim my arse off!
