Story
Last year I took part in my first Wolverhampton to Aberdovey bike ride. A challenging feat for me of 100 miles which took just under 7 hours in the saddle (ouch!) This year I'm doing it again.
Aberdovey Bike Ride has been going for 12 years raising up to £50,000 a year for local and national charities. Nearly 500 riders took part in last year's ride with me and enjoyed the excitement of a 'Tour de France' style police escort with closed roads for the first few miles out of the city.
In 2013 my wife's relative, Karen Hester sadly died after succumbing to cancer. She asked that donations be made to Macmillan to help support people affected by cancer.
All costs incurred for ride support, meals and return coach (to rest the rump) are my own so every penny of your donations are going direct to the charity.
Thanks,
Griff
