Story
The Yorkshire Air ambulance provides an outstanding service which I have witnessed first hand when playing rugby for the Old Brodleians.
The YAA relies solely on the generosity of the public to help save lives across the region. We need to raise £9990 per day to keep our helicopters in the air. Since we launched in October 2000 we have flown over 5,200 patients directly to hospitals across the region. This inspired a group of us to try our best to help contribute to the cause.
This July me and a bunch of pals will be plodding up Ben Nevis and kayaking coast to coast across Scotland - from Fort William to Inverness along the Great Glen. Our aim is to complete this in three days.
Having never previously been in a kayak, the thought of spending 3 days and 60 odd miles in one is somewhat daunting, your donations will be a massive help/inspiration to keep me going.
As part of my training I am running the Chester half marathon, again any generous donations will help make the training worthwhile.
