Story

I  am taking part in the Aberdovey Bike Ride in memory of my dear mother-in-law Shirley Matthews.

Shirley was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in Feb 2013, and throughout last year put up a very brave battle against this awful, cruel disease before sadly losing her fight on 29th December 2013. Motor Neurone Disease is very rare and few people have heard of it. It is a terrible disease that has deeply affected my family.

The MND Association is dedicated to help people affected by Motor Neurone Disease and also funds and promotes research into finding a cure. Hopefully one day a cure will be found!!

The bike ride takes place on 27th June 2014, the day which would have been my mother and father-in-law's Golden Wedding Anniversary, sadly because of Motor Neurone Disease, Shirley will not see this milestone event.

Please help me raise funds for this very worthwhile cause, it will be greatly appreciated. I know Shirley would have been proud of me xx
