Story
The second part of my challenge is a 100 mile cycle from Liverpool, to Chester, round Cheshire and back again. This time I'm raising money for BLESMA. That stands for the British Limbless Ex-Service Men's Association, so you can guess who they help. If you take a look at their website and some of their videos you'll see just how worthwhile a cause they are.
It's a charity I came across while researching for an assignment at uni. I was looking at ways exercise is used to cure different health problems and came across BLESMA. They help limbless vets in a number of ways (prosthetic limbs, counselling, etc.) including using exercise to show that they can still accomplish many of the things they thought they couldn't do anymore.
I'm trying to raise £1000 to be split between my three chosen charities (Cancer research, BLESMA & Alzheimer's research), if BLESMA is the charity for you then donate on this page. Or if you're feeling extra generous you could donate to all three!
