Story

In October 2011 our friend Lena Marsh was given the life-changing news that she had been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).  MND is a progressive disease that attacks the body’s motor neurones and for which there is currently no cure.  At any one time over 5,000 people in the UK suffer from MND and many, like Lena live courageously, facing the challenge of each new day, determined to live life positively and to the full.

Mother aNd Daughter, Terri Bates and Gemma Anderson will be sky diving over Salisbury from Old Sarum Airfield from 10,000ft to raise funds to support the MND Association and our local MND Gloucester branch.

The cost of the 2 jumps have been covered, with thanks to generous contributions from Pat & Sheila Condon, (Terri's mum & dad), Team M'N'D (Terri & Gemma) and Lena & Alan Marsh.

MND Association supports many local branches throughout England, Wales & Northern Ireland.  These are run by volunteers and provide essential practical and personal support for sufferers of MND and their families.  They also raise awareness of MND and seek to influence and fundraise at a local level.

MND kills 5 people a day in the UK but has very little awareness! A lot of people don't even know what this disease is and that has to change!

Your donation will help the MNDA continue to provide their invaluable support.  Thank you!
