Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am undertaking a 60k walk as my friend and colleague Greg Mckeague daughters Molly suffers from Rett Syndrome; since being diagnosed at the age of three, following a period of regression whereby Molly who was perfectly 'normal' lost the ability to talk and all her vocabulary disappeared, and she began to have Parkinsons like tremors in her hands. Molly later became asthmatic, epileptic and is now totally dependant on care. Molly has sclerosis of the spine, which now means she can only walk a few steps. I am going to try and help by walking a mammoth 60k walk across the downs, which we expect to take around 15-18 hours.
However, Rett syndrome has been reversed in the lab and Reverse Rett has been at the forefront in funding clinical studies to push this amazing breakthrough through to trials in thier girls. Every penny you give will go directly to research to increase the viability of treatments happening sooner rather than later
I not only do this for Molly but also for all the other Rett children.
