Story
Hello hello dearest friends,
On March 22nd, a group of super keeno hockey players from Leeds Uni women's hockey club are attempting to climb Yorkshire's three highest peaks in under 12 hours.
Last year we completed this challenge with only minutes to spare. It was a gruelling, and incredibly challenging day. The peaking and troughing was intense, and the blistered feet were less than happy with us after the 11th hour trudging up the mountainous Yorkshire dales. And yet, we have come back once again to tackle the 26 mile hike across Whernside, Ingleborough and Penyghent.
We aim to each raise £150 for the charity SUDEP Action, in memory of a much loved member of our club who sadly passed away last year. SUDEP is a fantastic charity that aims to support the families who go through the tragic and sudden loss of their loved ones due to epilepsy. Our club has a very strong link with this charity, a link we are very proud of, and we hope to continue to raise awareness for this great cause.
The cause is fantastic. The challenge is set. And the team is raring to go.
Please spare any pennies you can :)
Bundles of love,
Chloe
