I am taking part in the Sarah Groves Foundation Bike Ride from Guernsey to Paris. Say it quickly and it does not sound that much but believe me this is a massive massive challenge for me. Many of the other people taking part have excelled in sporting achievements in the past and therefore will be physically capable of this challenge. I cannot re-iterate my lack of athletic prowess and just how much of a challenge this is going to be for me. I have never even run for a bus! So why do it? Well, we have all heard the tragic story of Sarah Groves and I was embarrassed to see that she had 'lived' more in her short years than I ever have. The entire process is going to be a challenge for me, the physical, the mental, the social and first off the fundraising. So if you can help with my fund I would be extremely grateful.

Sarah's story has taught me that it is time I started 'living' and 'living a life less ordinary' which is what the foundation is all about. This money will all be put to great causes that keep Sarah’s memory alive through her passions and interests in life – children, art, fitness and adventure. The key objective of the foundation is to enable people from all walks of life to ‘lead a life less ordinary.’
