I’ve just joined a group supporting Deb Gascoyne who has Myeloma like my Mum. She’s doing 40 challenges in her 40th year to raise money for Myeloma UK and I’m now one of her 40-strong team raising sponsorship through the period of Lent.

You all know how much I love cake and biscuits (!), so I’m giving them up for Lent in return for sponsorship. If you’d like to sponsor me, however small the amount, think of the difference these funds could make to patients and their families affected by this hideous disease. Deb is my age and married with two children. It could so easily have been me. She deserves our support x
