We fund life-changing and life-saving work to support cancer patients at The Christie

Story

Hello! Welcome to my JustGiving page.

Back in 2013, Bramhall Runners were approached by Barry Thompson to help him raise a staggering £150,000 for the Christie charity. The idea is that 150 runners will each raise £150 by running the Manchester Marathon.

The £150,000 will build a brand new oncology unit at The Christie for teenagers suffering from cancer. To find out more about Barry's Project 150, please visit www.facebook.com/BarrysProject150

Although I don't feel ready to run a whole marathon just yet, after hearing Barry's story, I desperately wanted to help, so Victoria (another Bramhall Runner) and I decided to run Manchester Marathon as a relay team of two.

Living in Manchester, The Christie will have affected all our lives in one way or another, whether it's having treatment there ourselves, or having friends or family who are being treated, helped or supported by them. I want to give something back, so I hope that you will help me achieve this.
