Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page!
For those of you that know me, I am an out-of-shape, cake/chocolate-loving Geordie who enjoys a good drink and a take-away (specifically a large dominos all to myself).
I am giving (most of) that up to get myself fit and run the Manchester Marathon on the 6th of April this year.
Before training, I could hardly run 5k without stopping so needless to say this is going to be a challenge -especially as I only officially started training on 6th January 2014 (Only 3 months proper training, yikes!).
As well as running the marathon to improve myself, I am also running to raise money for a FANTASTIC cause, Barry's Project 150.
Barry's Project 150 is a local project and part of The Christie. The aim is to raise £150,000 to build a high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) room as part of the Young Oncology Unit for Teenagers and Young Adults undergoing Cancer treatment.
The marathon is the final fund-raising event for the project and it would amazing to see them smash their £150,000 goal!!
Therefore I would really appreciate it if you could show your support for myself and for Barry's Project 150 by donating whatever you can. No amount is too small, and knowing I have friends/family supporting me will definitely help get me across that 26.2 mile line!!
Thank you xoxo
