We fund life-changing and life-saving work to support cancer patients at The Christie

Story

Barry asked if I would run as one of the 150 runners in the Manchester Marathon who would each aim to raise £150 for the charity he is supporting this year.  Ho could I possibly refuse?  Barry is raising funds for The Christies and below is a little bit about Barry and what he, we and hopefully you are trying to work towards.  Please help me support Barry and donate.

Barry Thompson, wanted to do something special during his Presidential year for the Insurance Institute of Manchester to help make a valuable contribution to the local community. At the AGM on 16th April 2013, as Barry was officially inaugurated as President, ‘Barry’s Project 150’ was also launched. Over the year the IIM will aim to raise £150,000 in aid of The Christie building a new high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) room, as part of the Young Oncology Unit, where teenagers and young adults under cancer treatment can stay in a safe environment and an extra bed is provided for a family member to stay with them. Plan to hold a fundraising event for Barry's Project 150!

So £1 from 150 friends and I've hit the target, or £5 from 30 friends and its job done.  Thank you so much in anticipation for your support.  Your support to me in my many years of running and competing has been immense and I am sure with your continued support I can help Barry hit his target.
