With a very worthy cause, and a 25.8km (a shade over 16 miles) circuit round the streets and hills of Harpenden and Luton, every contribution is welcomed by The Soldiers' Charity, who work tirelessly to help those returning from Afghanistan.

Poignantly, the distance reflects the MoD's fatalities and serious casualties in Afghanistan over the last 7 years, where every 10 metres represents one of the 2,571casualties from the conflict.
