We have one clear aim: to End Duchenne

Story

We (Tex, Isaac, Ed, and Michael) are cycling the Duchenne Dash, a 24 hour gruelling ride from London to Paris to raise money to find a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).

Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is the most common fatal genetic disorder to affect boys.  Generally sufferers are in a wheelchair by 12 or 13, and most die in their early 20s from heart or respiratory failure.  It is fatal in every single case.

However, scientists believe they are on the verge of finding a substantial treatment for DMD and possibly a cure.  The Duchenne Children's Trust if funding 8 projects in the UK and another in Holland.  Every single penny raised is being spent right now on research.

That is why we are cycling from London to Paris in 24 hours so we can win the most important race - to end Duchenne in ten.

We believe that within a decade there will be a story in a newspaper saying a cure has been found for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.  That day we will be proud to put our hands on our hearts and say we were part of it.  By donating now, that day you too can turn to the person next to you in the office, the pub, or over the kitchen table, and say: "I made a difference.  I was a part of that".

So please donate today.  It will only take you a couple of minutes, but will give hundreds of thousands of children around the world a life.
