I am running the Manchester Marathon as part of ‘Barry’s Project 150’ . This aims to raise £150,000 in aid of The Christie building a new high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) room, as part of the Young Oncology Unit, where teenagers and young adults under cancer treatment can stay in a safe environment and an extra bed is provided for a family member to stay with them. 

We hope to get 150 runners raising money for this great charity.  

I have never run a marathon before so thought it was time...before I hit 50 and the knees gave up. I'm finding the training pretty hard so far but I'm determined to give it a good go.
