In September I'll be cycling over 200 miles in 3 days from North to South Wales taking in the bases of the 3 Wales Air Ambulance helicopters. I'll be part of a small team of dedicated people raising much needed funds for the Wales Air Ambulance Charitable Trust. You can read more about the charity on the right of the page, it provides an essential, often life saving service throughout Wales and relies on public donations to raise the £6 Million pounds it needs annually. I think it will be marvellous if I could raise £1500 and feel that my efforts, with your help,  were responsible for financing one mission of the WAA.

I was invited to join the team by my brother Rhodri, one of the other team members and I somewhat foolishly agreed! Since being diagnosed with life threatening Hodgkin's Lymphoma 10 years ago, Rhodri has beaten the disease, met his wife and started a family and successfully applied to be a paramedic flying on the WAA helicopter out of Welshpool. I'm very proud of him and grateful to be able to undertake this ride with him by my side (or behind me I hope!!!!!!!!)

As many of you know I am a reasonably accomplished runner but have cycled only for recreation. My lungs will be fine, my legs are in for a period of painful acclimatisation but I worry for my rear end. Please make it less painful by donating lots to this worthy cause.
