I am shaving my head and hoping to raise money for three charities by doing so: Macmillan, Rowcroft Hospice and Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.

My hair will be donated to The Little Princess Trust who make wigs for poorly children who've lost their hair due to cancer treatment.

Phyllis Tuckwell took care of my best friend's Mum, Helen, when she was terminally ill. She always used to tell me off for fiddling with my hair when it was long enough to annoy me but not long enough to put in a ponytail. I thought a head shave would be an apt way to remember her.
