Fundraising for Blue Cross
Story
The Blue Cross was founded in 1897 under the title of " Our dumb Friends league",with the name " The Blue Cross" coming into use in 1912.
In 1914 the Blue Cross sent out to France,Belguim,and Italy both Vets,Equipment and staff to run and operate animal hospitals near to the front line areas.
The reason we are supporting Blue Cross with this event is because of this link with the Great War and the work that Blue Cross still maintains to this day.
Whilst most of their work is more to do with Small pets, they still operate with Equines and we will be asking our funds raised to be directed towards the Equine units of the Blue Cross.
