Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This huge challenge is set to happen on Thursday the 26th September!! Yes thats 5 days away!!! (or less if I've forgotten to update!!)

I'm swimming the channel with friends and colleagues in the Welsh NHS and Academic Institutions. I suspect this is going to be tougher than we all expect but its for a great cause.

Cardiovascular mortality is significantly higher in Wales in comparison to England and other European countries. This is due to a multitude of factors from conception to death. Its a great idea to address the causes of premature heart disease prior to patients attending the Cardiac Catheter lab with their first Heart Attack.

I'm dedicating this swim to all people of Wales who have "silent" risk factors for heart disease that need to be recognised and dealt with for their long term cardiovascular health.

Please support us in this massive challenge.
