Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 6th October I am running the Bournemouth Marathon to raise money for "Tree of Hope". This charity raise money for specific individuals. Therefore, anything you donate will go directly to Lucas's fund. Lucas is a little boy in need of a specialist operation to help him walk. Unfortunately, it is not funded by the NHS, and his family really need help to raise £50,000.
This is my first Marathon and I've put in a lot of training over the last 6 months, so any support you can give will be greatly appreciated.
Lucas Turnbull is three years old and has spastic diplegia. This means he can not walk or stand without help. Spastic diplegia is brain damage that causes his legs to spasm and cramp.
Physiotherapy has helped him a lot so far but without a specialist operation, the tension in his legs will continue to cause him pain. This operation and intensive physiotherapy will help him to sit with straight legs, stand, ride a bike and hopefully walk.
If you wish to help, please donate generously. You can make a difference, many thanks.
