Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer 9 years ago. I needed surgery, chemo and radiotherapy and I was very lucky to be one of the first in Scotland to receive Herceptin on the NHS following the vital trial. I am convinced this is the reason I am alive today.
I've had a couple of years off fundraising (and gained 2 stones as a result) but it's time to take the plunge again. I have now taken up cycling and am loving it. What better way to get fitter than to set a goal 8 months hence to do 100km around London in the wee small hours???
I'm training and cycling with my good friend Sooz. I am Godmother to her daughter Lucy. Lucy's other Godmother Marian sadly lost her fight against Ovarian Cancer so we're both cycling in her memory too.
Please help me reach my goal of £500. Every little £1 is vital for the women who are diagnosed with women-specific cancers every day.
