We raise life-changing funds to enhance care at UHS

Story

If you are reading this...that means you know me, I am not an endurance athlete nor a racing cyclist. I am doing this bike ride (5 hours constant riding!) for charity.

My commitment to this event was firstly, to purchase a new race bike which came out of my own pocket, to train like hell for the one month's notice I had.

Andy Robson, is a friend of a friend, and was involved in a kitesurfing accident on 14th April.  He has been recovering in Southampton General Hospital and is still there. Since the accident he has been in three departments so we want to help them all. The funds will be shared as follows:

  • 50% to the Neuro Unit Fund
  • 25% to A&E
  • 25% to the General Intensive Care Unit

He is still in Neuro Intensive Care, which any one of us could have ended up in as a result of a severe sporting injury.

My sponsorship page will not show individual donation amounts, as I am happy to receive any donations whatever the amount. So just put messages of support (or banter).
