We provide Defibrillators and ELS training to save lives

Story

Thank you for visiting Newtonmore Village’s donation page!

Newtonmore is a very beautiful village to live in.  It has an abundance of sporting clubs and social groups all of which add to the health and well-being of its residents.

We are very lucky to have a ‘First Responders’ team based in the village but if someone has a Sudden Cardiac Arrest and the team has been called out elsewhere it can take around 30 minutes for an ambulance to arrive on the scene.

A defibrillator sited at Newtonmore Village Hall available 24/7 together with many residents trained in Emergency Life Support skills will give that person a much better chance of survival!

Lucky2BHere is all about saving lives by placing lifesaving medical equipment in rural areas where Heartstart teams deliver Emergency Life Support (ELS) and defibrillator training. This empowers local communities to manage their own situations from the time a life threatening incident arises until the medical professionals arrive. Lucky2BHere, supported by Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland, is also a driving force in campaigning for training of all secondary school pupils in Scotland in basic life-saving techniques as part of the school curriculum.
