In memory of SAM HULLY
We fund care, campaigning and research to achieve a world free from MND

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you will know, my little brother Sam Hully sadly passed away on 3rd December 2012 after a short but brave battle with motor neurone disease at the young age of 30.

The illness progressed very quickly and left him unable to do all of the things we all take for granted including, feeding & washing ourselves, walking, talking & eventually breathing.

MND is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves in the brain and spinal cord.  This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting. 50% of those suffering die within 14 months of diagnosis.

5 people in the UK die everyday from MND and there is no cause or cure.  We need to raise every penny we can to help research further to find a cure and to help people who are currently living with this cruel illness as Sam received fantastic support from the charity throughout his short battle.

We all miss him so much everyday and even though we can't bring him back it comforts us all to feel that we are giving something back and we know he will be up there looking down on us seeing that we are doing him proud.

A group of us have decided to take part in a 10,000ft skydive to raise awareness and funds for MNDA.  The jump will take place on 24th May 2014 at an airfield in Salisbury, Wiltshire.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Thanks,

Kate.
