We fund research to stop prostate cancer killing men

Story

Larry Lee Memorial Game for Prostate Cancer.

For those of you who have been following the Hornets for a few years now you will no doubt remember Larry Lee, the manager who turned the team from a rag tag group of individuals to a team who won the playoffs in 2010.

Unfortunately Larry passed away towards the end of last year and we have decided to remember him and at the same time try to raise as much as we can for research into Prostate Cancer, a disease that claims too many each year. The best way we can do this is by holding a game of Hockey with past and present Hornets and as many people coming to watch as possible for free (well almost!!).

Hopefully by now you will all be wanting your Hockey fix and what better way to kick it all off with a bit of fun on the Saturday 24th August at the Hive (for those who don’t know, that’s Bracknell Ice Rink).

Face off will be 6pm and it is free entrance. However we will be shaking collecting tins and would ask all those attending to make a donation to the Prostate Cancer charity in Larry’s memory.

There will also be an event immediately after the event and details will be announced shortly.

Please put the date and time in your diaries and join us at the game for a bit of fun and of course your first game of the new season!!
