Story

I'm going to be pedalling 300 miles (yes, 300!) from Malle in Belgium to my home village of Hartley Wintney in North Hampshire as part of a team charity bike ride over the August Bank Holiday.

This feat is in aid of 3 worthy local charities in Hartley Wintney; the new St John’s Church Centre building, St Michael’s Hospice, Basingstoke which cares for terminally ill patients and The Matthew Elvidge Trust, committed to raising awareness of depression in young adults across UK.

My personal involvement is to remember my dear friend Sarah who tragically took her life through a depression related illness 3 years ago.

Please donate as much or as little as you can - every donation will help me get through the blood, sweat and tears (literally! I've already ended up in A&E once...) that is otherwise known as training!!

I am meeting the cost to enter the event myself, so your entire sponsorship money will go directly to the charities.

Thank you so much for your interest and your support.

About the charity

St John's Church is the parish church in the Hampshire village of Hartley Wintney. In April 2012, the church commenced the building of a new £2.3m Church Centre, which, when completed in June 2013, will provide new facilities for our church and wider community. Please help us to raise the final 20%.
