Story
So..last year I hurled myself out of a small plane at 13000ft...this year our annual challenge will involve carrying one of our wooden doors to the top of Mt Snowdon to raise money for Staffordshire based St Giles Hospice.
The 9 mile round trip carrying the 6ft 6in, 30kg door will be completed by 12 JBK employees, working in teams of four to take their turn carrying the unusual load. Aptly carrying a door called 'Snowdon' from our Montana range.
Saturday 27th July 2013 is D-Day and our team is busy in training for the event. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
St Gile’s Hospice is the most inspirational place. I visited just yesterday and all I could do on leaving was smile! Not the sort of feeling I was expecting! I suppose many of us have an image in our head of a hospice or place of palliative care to be an oppressive place, but this could not be further from the truth at St Giles. They have the most amazing staff, who add an extra glow to what is already a fabulous facility , for those requiring such care. It must be such a relief for the families of their loved ones, to know that they are in such a safe & tranquil haven.
At a cost of £22,000 per day just to keep the doors open, they need all the help we can offer them!
