Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Im going to be getting on my bike (No change there i hear you say) as part of a group of 50 raising money for St Johns church in Hartley Wintney

We will be cycling from the Town of Malle in Belgium (North East of Antwerp) the 300 miles back home over the four days of the August bank holiday.

80% of the funds raised will go towards the new St John’s Church Centre building. However the remaining 20% will be donated to two local charities. St Michael’s Hospice, Basingstoke, which cares for terminally ill patients across North Hampshire, and The Matthew Elvidge Trust, committed to raising awareness of depression in young adults, working with charities and universities across UK.

I am meeting the cost to enter the event myself and will be camping whilst on the trip (And those that know me well know i hate tents) so please dig deep and donate now.

The entire sponsorship money will go directly to the charities so for any further information about the event, please visit the website here: http://www.hwbikeride.org.uk/ where you will be able to see my mug shot also.

Thank you so much for your interest and your support.

There's will be a party at the new church centre building when we get back, on 26th August, so I hope to see you there!

About the charity

St John's Church is the parish church in the Hampshire village of Hartley Wintney. In April 2012, the church commenced the building of a new £2.3m Church Centre, which, when completed in June 2013, will provide new facilities for our church and wider community. Please help us to raise the final 20%.
