Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am raising money for the Cardiomyopathy Association in memory of Mitchell Cole, former Stevenage FC footballer.

Mitch's life was tragically cut short by hypertrophic cardiomyopathy on 30th November 2012 at only 27 years old.

The sudden loss of Mitch had a big impact on me as I too have a heart condition and a young family like he did.

The CMA is a charity for everybody affected by heart muscle disease (cardiomyopathy), of which Mitch was an ambassador for.

A group of Stevenage FC supporters are taking on the challenge of walking from Oxford United FC to Stevenage FC (two of Mitch's former club's) in August 2013 and will be arriving at Stevenage FC just in time for kick off of the first home game of the 2013-14 season.

The distance is some 60 miles and will take approximatly 18 hours or so.

Hopefully the team will be wearing shirts from each of the 11 club's that Mitch represented (kindly dontaed by each of the club's) along with his squad number.

Please dig deep and help this great cause. This condition can effect anyone of any age, level of fitness, or gender.

Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 25%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the charity, faster, with JustGiving.

So please dig deep and donate now.
