We Are on call every hour of every day to save lives in Glencoe and beyond.

Story

As many of you know, in January this year four wonderful young people lost their lives in an avalanche while walking in Glencoe. Two of them, Úna Finnegan and Rachel Majumdar, were Graeme's close friends from medical school and you may well have seen Úna dancing up a storm at our wedding.

They were incredibly active, selfless and energetic people who regularly  raised money for charity, so it seems only fitting to honour them by raising funds for the Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team that got them out and saved the lives of the two remaining members of their walking party.

Together with a group of the friends and family of all six walkers, we are contributing to a Triathalon of running, swimming and cycling events in their memory. Blánaid is taking part in the one-mile leg of the Great North Swim across Lake Windermere in June, and Graeme is completing the Great North Run in September.

Any support you could give would be hugely appreciated and will help to ensure the Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team are fully equipped to deal with, and hopefully prevent, any future tragedies.

Thank you.
