A grear day. Challenging for me with the distance and some of the hills but a huge sense if achievement. The rounding applause in the final 200m to the finish line makes you feel like a hero.....I think all 30k who took part and all support teams, organisers, volunteers and sponsors are true heroes every bit as much. WELL DONE TO YOU ALL.

with one week to go the training is stepping up a bit though the distances remain much the same due to time constraints. Loving the sunshine though as it makes a nice change.

Out on the bike today. ..20 miles from Hill Head to Titchfield then on to Warsash and back. 1hr 50 mins. Lovely in the sunshine.

Just a quick jaunt out tonight....Hill Head to Peak Lane then Fareham train station and back. 40 mins - 7.5 miles. Still it all helps in getting fit for the event.

Well unfortunately my daughter trumped my planned bike ride this morning by my needing to take her swimming (which was great anyway). So the ride was tonight and was a circuit from home at Hill Head to Fareham picking up the Eclipse bus route down to the Gosport Ferry then through Alverstoke to Stokes Bay then along the shoreline to home. 15.26 miles in 1hr 20 minutes so 11.4mph ave which is a nice little increase.
