Story
Hello
As you've probably gathered by now, I'm riding from Cirencester to Paris in September.
I’ve never done anything like this before – and up until a couple of months ago hadn’t been on a bike for 15 years. I’ve been training properly since the start of May, which has involved long evening and weekend rides, a close encounter with a car on a roundabout and subsequent trip to A&E, quitting smoking and spending far too much time in a pair of padded cycling shorts. It’s a major challenge from a fitness point of view and a significant investment in terms of time to train and hours and days away from the girls and Mr P.
I’m hoping to make lots of money in the process for Bliss – a charity that provides nurses and care for babies born too small, too sick and too soon. You can read more about Bliss here: http://www.bliss.org.uk/. And here is some information about our ride – including details of the other riders (about 30 of us) and route etc.: http://www.blissbabybikers.com/.
Please help to make all my effort and commitment worth it by donating via my justgiving page. Thank you in advance for your generosity, lovely people!
Big love
Charlie x
