Welcome to my fundraising page for Edinburgh Marathon 2013!

I walked it in 2008 and absolutely loved taking part.  They were some of the toughest but best 6 hrs 30 mins of my life.  Frustratingly I had to abort my 2011 attempt due to a serious medical reaction that meant I couldn't walk - a slight technical hitch.  But I'm back in the hunt again in 2013 and nothing's stopping me :)

Why Macmillan?  I've had a couple of cancer scares in my time.  Alongside my very lovely family and friends, Macmillan Cancer Support was there for me at every turn, despite the eventual fact that the threats were empty and everything was benign.  My experiences have left me wanting to do my bit to help ensure everyone (cancer sufferers, their families and their carers) has Macmillan's quality of nursing care, specialist advice and campaigning clout available to them whenever they need it, now and in the future.
