Hi my name is Toni and I own a Fitness Bootcamp in Birmingham City Centre with my partner Oli. We are always challenging our members to set themselves new and exciting goals and on June 16th, Father's Day, we will all be joining together for our latest adventure - cycling from london to brighton!

The date is rather significant for me as I will be raising money for macmillan cancer support, the charity who did a fantastic job in 2009 when we discovered that my own dad, Jim, had been Diagnosed with a rare strain of terminal kidney cancer. Although clearly the following months were never going to be easy I can say without a doubt that the brilliant facilities and experienced staff at the Macmillan Nightingale unit at Derby City Hospital provided excellent support throughout that difficult time of which I, and my litttle brother will always be grateful. Macmillan provide a number of charity funded services all of which are designed to care for patients and their families when faced with similar situations. For many, they become a small ray of light at times of darkness and as such are an incredibly worthwhile cause that I am happy to charge up the formidable "cardic hill" at the end of this ride, despite being absolutely hopeless when it comes to riding a bike if it will encourage others to support Macmillan and the good that they do :)
