Cycle from Leeds to Newcastle - 100 miles on Saturday - complete the Great North Run - 13.1 miles on Sunday - then the next day cycle back to Yorkshire - another 100 miles on the Monday - "Yes, I'm in" I said......

We'll it's a week before the big event and with an 11 mile run under my belt I'm pretty happy, it's the cycling that is going to be the big challenge for me. 100 miles didn't seem too bad at first, and then you realise it's 9 - 10 hours in the saddle and the true size of the undertaking becomes apparent.

A very BIG thank you to Simon for the kind loan of his road bike i've been getting to grips with 'the art' of road cycling clocking up miles riding to work and back and 'nipping' out for a few hours to get some miles into my legs. 

So there is no turning back....
