Story

Thank you all for your good luck messages, donations and offers of massage, plasters etc etc ! We are striving to exceed our £35k current total - already exceeding our 30k target - if you have a 50p in your purse save it for me and the fund - every penny counts - am on a mission ! Love bev x

Home safe and sound after a fantastic trek ! Have reached my £2000 target - thank you to everyone who has sponsored me and such a great cause. A big big thank you to my fellow trekkers for getting me through such a tough challenge xx

How scary and exciting ! 3 more days and we head off on our charity trek to China. Thank you so much to everyone who has sponsored me xx

Well ! Here we are with 9 days before we head off on our mission - quite scary but exciting and quite emotional. Still time to sponsor me and support Brain Tumour Research, all donations very much appreciated xx

Thank you much to everyone who has sponsored me and sent such lovely messages of encouragement. As a team we have achieved £20,000 - our target is £30,000 so please support us if you can, bev x

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Along with a number of my fantastic work colleagues I am trekking The Great Wall of China in April 2013 to collectively raise at least £30k for Brain Tumour Research.

In the last year I have watched two families devastated by the impact of this dreadful cancer, watching their loved ones courageously undergoing months of intensive treatment only to heartbreakingly lose the fight.

Abigail, a beautiful young girl just starting high school and Christina, a lovely Mum and Grandma looking forward to a well earned retirement - God bless you both !

Brain Tumour Research is vastly underfunded and requires £7million a year to continue valuable and necessary research into this condition. If you look on www.braintumourresearch.org  you will see some startling facts that will convince you just how important our fund raising event and others like it are.

We are looking to you to help us achieve our collective goal by donating. Whether you can donate £1, £10, £100 or more, I urge you to please just give what you can, anything will help.

Thanks to every one for looking at my page and........don't forget to tick the GIFT AID SECTION, this adds 25% on top of your donation by way of the government scheme,  you give the donation value and the charity claims the extra through the scheme off the government, not you.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
