Story
This coming May we're rowing 500 miles from London to Paris, racing as 2 teams over 6 days to be the first to the Eiffel Tower.
The race will take us down the Thames, into and across the English Channel and then up the Seine on the spring tide to Paris.
There are only 3 days each year when the spring tide surge enables teamd to row up the currents at the mouth of the Seine - which is why more people have climbed Everest than have rowed to Paris.
Why I hear you say? Well there's two teams and I'm part of the team raising money for the Ickle Pickles - the charity Rach and I started in 2009 following the premature birth of Charlie in March 2008.
Charlie weighed just 2lbs 4ozs when he was born and spent 3 months in Intensive Care before being sent home from St. George's a healthy little boy. The charity raises money to buy the specialised equipmemt needed to treat the smallest babies, such as Incubators and ventilators. Without them and the dedicated Neonatal staff babes such as Charlie would be unlikely to survive.
Any donation you make will be put towards some kit that will help save lives. Thanks in advance for your donation, big or small.
