Story
My motivation for this is simple I want to do what I can to stop people suffering and dying from cancer. My experience with this awful disease was when it took hold of my Dads life, he was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in early 2007. After a lot of pain and a strong fight it ripped him from our lives in August of the same year.
I had always donated to charity before this and done a couple of fundraising events as well but this loss really made me focus any efforts to raise money to ensure it went cancer research. I have quickly realised that if you want to make a differethe and raise money then you have to do something that takes a lot of effort!! So that's exactly what I am doing!
In September this year I along with 20 other kind hearted folk will ride 110miles from ilkley in Yorkshire to Newcastle once there we will get off our bikes and run the great north run (half marathon) after we have done this and we are fully exhausted we'll hop back on the bikes and ride home. In its self that's a challenge but we will be doing the whole event dressed as penguins, flippers, beaks and bobbly eyes included!! the whole event will take us 3 days and between we want to raise £50,000.00 for Yorkshire Cancer Research. So please dig deep for this worthy cause and donate what you can.
Thanks for any thing you gran give to support us.
Alex
