Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Please help us raise as much money as we can for wee Oscar Knox who is bravely fighting stage 4 neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer.  Oscar is from Belfast in Northern Ireland and unfortunately the treatment he requires is only available abroad and the costs involved are absolutely enormous.

Wee Oscar is the bravest of young lads who has been through so much already in his young life.  He was diagnosed with Jacobsen Syndrome when he was months old.  This is an extremely rare chromosome disorder with just over 250 known cases in the world and is said to affect only 1 in every 100,000.  Wee Oscar bravely battled through this making remarkable progress.

However in 2011 Oscar was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma a rare childrens cancer which affects again only 1 in 100,000 and Oscar is the only child in the world to have had both Jacobsens Syndrome and then be diagnosed with Neuroblastoma.  The odds of this happening really are about ten billion to one.

Please help us raise as much money as we can so this truly remarkable wee man can get the treatment he so desperately needs to give him the chance of life.

Every penny really does count, so please spare whatever you can for this cause and this amazing wee man!!!!
