Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As some of you are aware, I have been running since an early age and took part in the Mini London Marathon from the age of 11-17. I have cheered and clapped the marathon runners through the streets of London for many years and dreamt of doing it myself one day. So after much debate I decided 2013 was that year!
Unfortunately the last couple of weeks of training and race day didn't go to plan, with catching the flu and a stomach ache on the day, making me feel miserable for the last 16 miles. I was so disappointed with my performance and time. I decided to sign up for the Edinburgh Marathon (5 weeks later) to try to blow my marathon cobwebs away. However I had to pull out the night before, due to a knee injury. I am seeing a physio at the moment to try to get it better.
I was running for Macmillan Cancer Support. Macmillan help the thousands of people who are living with cancer and their families. We will all be affected by cancer in some way in our lives and therefore that is why it is a great cause for us all to support.
Although I am not pleased with the running part, I am so happy I have managed to raise so much money for Macmillan. Thank you for your help in advance.
