Myeloma UK are a fantastic charity who work hard to put an end to myeloma - a particularly nasty variety of cancer that affects the bone marrrow - through research and patient care services. The disease has affected friends of mine and I saw an opportunity to fight against it with this fundraiser.

On March 23rd, 2013 I will be hiking up Pen-y-Fan, the highest mountain in the South of the UK, dressed in 6 stone of medieval armour with a group of similarly attired people! I have recently taken up a sport called Historic Medieval Battle (HMB) where competitors fight with authentic medieval weapons and armour and let me tell you, it's tough just wearing the gear.

My struggle up that mountain though is nothing compared to what cancer sufferers and the people who seek to cure the disease go through every day. So please give generously to Myeloma UK to see my friends undertake this epic journey.
